Aftercare Guide

— How to make your lashes last —

The biggest secret to long-lasting lash extensions isn't the glue — it's what you do after you leave the studio.

The first 24–48 hours

Timing matters more than you think

24–48
hrs

The curing window — handle with care

This is the most critical period. The adhesive is still fully curing and any moisture or heat can interfere with the bond before it's set.

Do not wash or wet your lashes
No steam, saunas, or hot showers directed at your face
Avoid heavy exercise or sweating
Don't sleep on your face

48 hours is always the safest standard.

48hrs+

You're clear — now the real aftercare begins

Once fully cured, the most important thing you can do is keep them clean. This is where most clients go wrong.

Cleanse your lash line regularly
Brush with a clean spoolie when dry
Be gentle — no rubbing or pulling
Avoid oil-based products around the eyes

How often to clean

It depends on your skin type

Normal skin

2–3×
per week

A consistent routine keeps the lash line clear without over-saturating.

Oily · gym · makeup wearer

Daily or
every 2nd day

Oil, sweat, and makeup residue break down adhesive faster. Daily cleaning is protective, not harmful.

Dry skin

per week

Less natural oil means less buildup — but you still need to cleanse regularly.

Why it matters

Clean lashes last longer

Oil naturally builds up at the lash line throughout the day
Dust, sweat, and skincare residue weaken the adhesive bond over time
Dirty lashes cause early shedding and potential irritation

"A lot of what gets blamed on bad retention is actually just dirty lashes slowly breaking down the bond. Clean lashes hold significantly longer."

The cleaning routine

Simple steps, big difference

1

Wet your lashes gently

Use lukewarm water — not hot. Splash or use a damp cloth, avoiding direct pressure on the lashes.

2

Apply lash shampoo or foam cleanser

Use a dedicated lash shampoo or gentle, oil-free foam cleanser. Avoid anything with glycols, oils, or heavy conditioning agents.

3

Clean along the lash line

Use a soft cleansing brush or clean fingertip to gently work the cleanser along the base of the lashes — not just the tips.

4

Rinse fully

Make sure all cleanser is rinsed away. Any residue left at the lash base can cause the same buildup issues you're trying to avoid.

5

Pat dry — don't rub

Gently press a clean lint-free cloth around the lashes to absorb water. Never rub — friction weakens the bond and causes premature shedding.

6

Brush when fully dry

Once completely dry, use a clean spoolie to gently brush them back into shape. Brushing wet lashes puts unnecessary stress on the bond.
